Late Mr Mewa singh Taneja was very much connected and directly concerned with farmers of Tarn Taran dist and Amritsar dist , who grow tastiest and finest basmati rice it was their dream to provide authentic basmati rice worldwide . Then Sr Avtar Singh Taneja started the rice mill in 1984 on the name of Mewa Singh Avtar singh Rice Mills so that so that they can put efforts to provide the finest basmati around the globe to high premium customers, which is grown in the holy land of Tarn Taran and Amritsar by the hard working farmers .
As Tarn Taran and Amritsar is famous for the best quality of steam basmati rice , the climate and water have the most favourable conditions for the land to grown steam basmati rice , so with their vision they introduced Brand Sweet Home Amritsari Basmati rice .
Sr. Avtar Singh Taneja established a new rice unit in 2007 on the name Taneja overseas with the modernise and high tech machinery . From 2011 Mr. Jaideep Singh Taneja joined the business with new approach for the next level satisfaction of customer ,now we have worldwide presence with loyal and highly satisfied customers.
